We’ve all been there. A great veggie dip? Ranch. A delicious go to salad dressing? Ranch. What spread should I put on my BLT? Easy….RANCH.

Well that yummy, creamy, delicious ranch dressing that we all love is so freaking good, but also packed with the calories that are loaded up with carbs and fats.

Delicious and creamy ranch dressing made with greek yogurt, perfect for dipping your veggies in!

Are their healthier versions? Abso-freaking-lutely. That’s the beauty these days, is there is a healthier alternative for just about everything.

But what if you don’t want to spend 4-5 dollars on the tiny little healthy bottle that may or may not taste good, or leave a weird aftertaste? I needed to throw that in there, because I’ve been there. Way too many times. Then the bottle just sits in my fridge and I end up using regular ol’ ranch anyway.

Ya’ll heard of that really great food hack called nonfat plain Greek yogurt? Yeah, that stuff is a freaking game changer. I always keep a tub of Greek yogurt on hand because it comes in handy in creations like this one.

I knew that I could re-create my own healthy 2 ingredient ranch dip right at home and literally every time I wanted ranch for something, I had it all ready to go. Best part? Its packed with the same great flavor and very low calorie.

My friends, buckle up…..this is a healthy hack that you are going to be glad you know especially if your a ranch lover like me and always on the hunt for a delicious dip. Just as delicious as the bottled stuff. Maybe this is the inspiration you needed to see how easy it is and you’ll be making homemade salad dressing all the time!

This healthy ranch salad dressing is great for spreading into your favorite sandwich or wrap also!

Why you’ll love this Greek yogurt ranch dip recipe:

  • Less than 5 minutes to make
  • ONLY 2 ingredients – PANTRY STAPLES you probably have already and still gives you that delicious classic ranch flavor
  • Unlike your traditional store-bought ranch dressings which is 0, this ranch dip has 5 grams of protein per serving plus way fewer calories and low fat

What do I need to make this skinny ranch dip?

There are only 2 simple ingredients needed to make this easy ranch dip. And if you want to take it to next level stuff, add the fresh dill.

  • ¼ cup plain Greek yogurt (I recommend nonfat, but you can use whole milk Greek yogurt too)
  • 0.5 tablespoon of ranch seasoning; more or less depending on your taste preference (I recommend hidden valley)
  • Optional: Black pepper and Fresh Dill

Ranch seasoning and dip mix is the way to go here, I recommend Hidden Valley.

How do I make this homemade ranch dip with Greek yogurt?

Simply mix up these ingredients together in a small mixing bowl, and BAM!

I recommend chilling it for 30 minutes, but you can definitely eat this right away too. I’ve done both, and so friggin’ delicious either way.

Serve with salad, chips, raw veggies, crackers, nuggets, fries, sandwich spread, SERIOUSLY the options are endless…..and that folks is why I love this recipe and so do my kids.

Notes on this healthy ranch dip recipe:

Dressing vs. Dip

You can make this dressing thinner if you’d like if you prefer a thinner consistency. Some prefer this method if you are using it as a salad dressing over your favorite salads.

Simply add a few drops of water, give it a good mix, and do this until your heart’s content. Less water, the better. You can always add more if you go.

If your using as a healthy dip, I’d keep as is for all those yummy fresh veggies.

Delicious and high in protein, this ranch dip will be a new favorite!

Sodium Levels

Because we are using ranch seasoning, it does tend to be higher in sodium levels.

I feel like this is a great tradeoff versus your traditional ranch dressing in my opinion considering all the fats and how loaded it is with calories. But this of course, is my personal opinion.

If your looking for another alternative using fresher ingredients like fresh herbs to create a homemade ranch seasoning, check out this recipe right here!

You only need 2 ingredients to make this delicious dip!

How to store homemade healthy ranch dip with Greek yogurt:

This healthy Greek yogurt ranch dressing keeps in your fridge generally around 2 weeks. However, if the shelf life of your plain Greek yogurt is shorter, go with that time frame.

Just make sure to store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
