This recipe came to life here recently in my third trimester of pregnancy. Now, this is my third pregnancy and I’m all about those tasty treats.
Well this kid is a stinkin’ ninja let me tell ya. I am extremely sensitive to sugar right now, meaning if I decide to indulge, I’m paying the price in having my organs beaten to death. Some of you may know the feeling.
Well, you know how those pregnancy cravings are. This week, it was s’mores. Creamy, chocolately, delicious s’mores. MMMMmmm.
We all know nothing beats classic s’mores with toasted marshmallows by the fire pit, but my friends this is the next best thing when your trying to live that healthy life.
I decided to throw together some of my favorite go to ingredients and let the magic evolve. You all know my favorite secret ingredient…..that’s right. Plain Greek yogurt.
This tastes so friggin good, and a keeper for dessert recipes for when I really dive back into my macros again.
It has a creamy texture, delicious taste, and the best part is its very low calorie, low sugar and high protein for a delicious chocolatey dessert option.
My daughter was finger dippin’ this stuff all day as we were experimenting. She is my shadow these days, and my best taste tester.
I like those honest opinions of a toddler if you know what I mean. Well she gave this easy treat a five star rating. Nothing I love more than that big smile.

How to make this healthy s’mores dip recipe
Simple ingredients you’ll need for this easy dessert:
- Plain Greek yogurt
- Chocolate protein powder
- Low fat cool whip
- Natural sweetener of your choice; I use Truvia
- Vanilla extract
- Sugar free vanilla pudding mix
- Toppings: Mini marshmallows, graham crackers, milk, dark or semisweet chocolate chips
Steps to make s’mores dip:
Step 1
Combine everything in a mixing bowl and mix well.
Step 2
Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
Step 3
Apply your toppings: marshmallows, graham crackers, and chocolate chips. The amount you use is based on your macros and up to your preference.
*I go lighter on the chocolate chips because of the calories, but you’d be surprised with how many marshmallows you can get away with. I personally prefer graham cracker crumbs so the crisp graham cracker is spread out.
ENJOY!!
My suggestions and notes for this healthy s’mores dip
Do I need to use protein powder?
No! You don’t need to use protein powder. Sometimes the taste can overpower a recipe, especially depending on the brand your using.
I do find that protein powder mixes very well with yogurt especially in this recipe.
If you need a recommendation for protein powder, my go to brand is Isopure which I get right on amazon.
Here is a link right here on the kind I use. Its extremely affordable, and I think it has a nice tastes and does well when mixed in recipes.
If you want to swap out the protein powder, use 1 tbsp of cocoa powder instead. Just keep in mind that this will not have as much protein.
What if I only have vanilla protein powder?
You can definitely use vanilla protein powder!! I experimented with both and this route is also delicious.
Use your vanilla protein instead, but swap out the vanilla pudding mix for chocolate pudding mix, so you still get that great tasting chocolate flavor.
What can I eat with my smores dip?
You can get creative and go big or go home if you really wanted to. I had bought some pineapple and strawberries and tried them in this dip, and it was heavenly, no joke.
Now, of course there are a ton of options to dip in this delicious s’mores dip that probably aren’t the healthiest, so steer clear of those cookies if your on a macro or low calorie diet.
Here are some other options to name a few:
- Fresh fruit
- Cookies (vanilla wafers, animal crackers)
- Graham cracker sticks
- Melted Chocolate (melt some chocolate chips and drizzle over the top)
- Pretzel crisps
- Reese’s peanut butter cups
- Hershey’s milk chocolate or any chocolate bar
Or the obvious choice and the best way in my opinion is to eat as is…..mmmmm delicious. If I left it up to my toddler, she’d have the entire bag of marshmallows.
How to store this healthy s’mores dip:
This will keep in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. I would recommend adding the toppings when your ready to chow down!
This recipe makes 2 servings.
